Roof Hatches With Ladders, Built and Tested In-House

Roof hatches with ladders pair a sealed rooftop opening with a fixed steel climb that lands a worker safely at deck level. We build the curb, the hatch leaf, and the ladder as one welded assembly rated to OSHA 1910.23 and EN ISO 14122-4, in Q235B carbon steel or SS304 stainless.

On our shop floor, we set the top rung 100-300 mm below the hatch sill so the climb-out stays inside the guarded zone. Stringers are 6 mm plate; rungs carry a 1.5 kN point load with a verified safety margin. Every batch goes through a sampled tensile pull test before hot-dip galvanizing to roughly 85 μm.
