Overview

What Is a Fixed Roof Access Ladder?

A fixed roof access ladder is a permanently mounted vertical ladder that gets people safely from ground or floor level onto a roof. Unlike a portable ladder, it bolts to the wall or parapet and stays put — rated, certified, and ready for daily use. We build ours from Q235B carbon steel or SS304 stainless, sized to your climb height.

On parapet jobs, our engineers usually pre-drill the top bracket at the factory so the install crew skips on-site templating. Small detail, but it saves an hour on the roof and keeps the anchor pattern exact. Every flight leaves the floor squared and rung-checked.

We ship factory-direct to 50+ countries, with no trading house between you and the welders. A water-treatment operator in the Middle East recently ordered a batch of hot-dip galvanized fixed ladders for tank-top access; the run went out with load-test data and third-party SGS inspection on file.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between a fixed roof access ladder and a cat ladder?
A fixed roof access ladder is vertical and wall- or parapet-mounted for getting onto the roof. A cat ladder runs up the roof slope itself. Many rooftops use both.
How is a fixed roof access ladder installed?
Survey the site, mount stand-off brackets on anchors, bolt the flights with rungs at 250 mm, fit a cage or rail where OSHA 1910.23 requires it, then inspect and sign off with documents. Most single-storey installs take a crew under a day.
What does a fixed roof access ladder cost?
Price tracks climb height, material (HDG Q235B vs SS304 / SS316), fall-protection type, and finish. Because we are the factory, you skip the trading-house markup.
Which standards do your roof access ladders meet?
We build to OSHA 1910.23 for US projects and EN ISO 14122-4 for European ones, with BS 4211 on request. Every batch ships with material certificates, weld reports, and load-test data.
