Overview

What Is a Wall Mounted Fixed Ladder?

A wall mounted fixed ladder is a permanent vertical ladder anchored to a wall, parapet, or steel column. It does not lean and it does not move. We set the ladder wall standoff so boots and gloves clear the surface, then size the climb to the exact height on your drawing. Built from Q235B carbon steel or SS304 stainless, every unit leaves the floor squared and rung-checked.

In our factory, we usually pre-drill the stand-off brackets before the ladder ships, so the install crew skips on-site templating. Small step. It saves about an hour on the wall and keeps the anchor pattern exact.

These ladders go onto warehouse mezzanines, industrial plant rooms, and exterior building walls where crews need daily roof or platform access. A food-processing plant in Southeast Asia recently took a batch of SS304 wall mounted ladders for washdown areas; the run shipped with material certificates and third-party SGS inspection on file.

Compliance

OSHA 1910.23 and EN ISO 14122-4 Compliance

Load testing a wall mounted ladder rung under ISO 9001 quality control

In-House Load Testing

Sample tension test, every batch — ISO 9001:2015

OSHA 1910.23 Compliant

Rung spacing, the ≥178 mm (7 in) wall clearance, and side-rail extension above the landing all follow the US fixed-ladder rule. Past 24 ft (7.3 m), we add a ladder safety system or cage.

EN ISO 14122-4 Build

Side rails, rung geometry, and guard or cage to the European standard for permanent means of access to machinery and structures. BS 4211 on request.

Certified Materials & Hardware

Q235B, SS304, or SS316 with material certificates and weld-inspection reports per batch. Ladder wall mounting hardware is matched to your substrate.

Load-Tested In House

Each batch is sample tension-tested; third-party inspection by SGS, TÜV, or Bureau Veritas on request. Built under ISO 9001:2015.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a wall mounted ladder?
A wall mounted ladder is a fixed steel ladder bolted to a wall, parapet, or column for permanent vertical access. Unlike a portable ladder, it stays put — rated, certified, and ready for daily use.
How far should a fixed wall ladder stand off the wall?
OSHA 1910.23 calls for at least 178 mm (7 in) of clearance behind the rungs. On most jobs we run 150–200 mm. This fixed wall ladder clearance keeps boots and gloves clear of the surface.
What does a wall mounted fixed ladder cost?
Price tracks climb height, material (HDG Q235B vs SS304 / SS316), fall-protection type, and finish. Because we are the factory, you skip the trading-house markup.
Which standards do your wall ladders meet?
We build to OSHA 1910.23 for US projects and EN ISO 14122-4 for European ones, with BS 4211 on request. Every batch ships with material certificates, weld reports, and load-test data.
